On April 29, Dr. Zhang Jicheng of Van-Rearch was named a “Zhengzhou Leading Talent.” Liu Danfeng, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Gongyi Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, personally attended the ceremony to present Dr. Zhang Jicheng with the certificate of honor. The selection of high-level talent is an important initiative by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government to implement the “Talent-Driven City” strategy and the innovation-driven strategy, and it is also a key means of motivating and cultivating high-level talent.
Zhang Jicheng holds a Ph.D. in Science from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Peking University. A native of Daye, Hubei Province, he is a senior engineer. His work primarily focuses on the research, development, and production management of aerogel thermal insulation materials, and he was responsible for establishing China’s first large-scale supercritical equipment system for aerogel production. He has received the First Prize for National Defense Science and Technology Progress (2012), the Second Prize for National Science and Technology Progress (2013), and the China Patent Gold Award.
He previously worked at the Aerospace Special Materials and Process Technology Research Institute, where he participated in numerous key national defense research projects and major national special projects. He was a key contributor to the thermal protection system for the engine gas ducts of the Long March 5 launch vehicle (first flight in 2016), the thermal insulation system for the Tianzhou-1 cargo spacecraft (first flight in 2017), and the thermal insulation system for a deep-space exploration mission.
The thermal protection materials he developed have been applied in various military fields, including several types of cruise missile compartments, military thermal batteries, and nuclear submarine compartments, as well as in civilian fields such as oil pipelines and lithium-ion battery thermal management systems. In March 2018, he began participating in product development at Fanrui Yihui, where he is responsible for the research, development, and production of aerogel composite materials.
Dr. Zhang Jicheng’s recent designation as a high-level talent by the Zhengzhou Municipal Government marks a significant step forward for our company in attracting high-level talent and commercializing scientific and technological innovations. This recognition from the Zhengzhou Municipal Government has injected new momentum into Van-Research’s future development!
